Popular Shows You Hate or Have Never Seen

Hate- Mad Men, Breaking Bad, 24, 30 Rock

I might add The Wire soon. I watched the first three episodes last week and struggled to get through it. I usually like crime shows so I was a little upset I wasn't into this one more.

I might add Arrested Development soon too. I watched 4 or 5 episodes last night and didn't laugh once. Isn't it supposed to be funny?

Never Seen- Lost, ER, Modern Family, Entourage, Walking Dead, Big Love, True Blood, Bachelor/ette

I used to get the first minute or two of Modern Family at the end of my DVR'd Suburgatory, and I think I'd like it. I've just never actually seen more than a few minutes here and there.

I might add Suburgatory to the hate list, I don't really hate it, but I don't like it much either. I also feel that way about Parks and Recreation.

This is how I feel about 30 Rock. I can sit through a couple episodes if someone else wants to watch it, but I definitely don't like it. I don't love Suburgatory either, but I like it more than 30 Rock.

Just gonna say: I hate, hate, HATE Big Bang Theory. FI loves it, but I can't stand to sit through one episode. I have seen several, but they're just so awful. Maybe I just don't "get it," I dunno.

You have to watch at least the first five episodes of The Wire. You can't think of the first season as 13 hour-long episodes; you need to think of it as a 13-hour-long movie. It's not like network TV -- things don't get spoon-fed to you or wrapped up in a nice, neat bow at the end of each hour.

I tried getting into Lost but it just moves to slow for me. I watched the first 3 episodes on Netflix but I haven't watched anymore since.

Never seen: Modern Family, Entourage, Walking Dead, True Blood, Big Bang Theory, Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother.

I've never seen Friday Night Lights, and I have no intention of watching it either. Any show that revolves around sports I automatically disregard. I've also never watched Modern Family.

I watch HIMYM on reruns occasionally, but it's not funny/compelling enough to put in a regular rotation. Same with 30 Rock, and Parks & Recreation

I've tried watching CBS comedies, but they're just so...blah. The jokes are obvious and not great. I don't understand their appeal.

It took me a long time to get into Mad Men. Now it's one of my favorite shows. Weirdly, I don't like Arrested Development even though its style is usually up my alley. I like smart, "insidery" humor, but I just can't get into that one. I also could never get into Gilmore Girls though I tried multiple times. The rapid-fire dialogue drove me nuts. Oh, and Gossip Girl. I couldn't get past my dislike of Blake Lively's speech pattern.

Never seen: Entourage, Lost, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, American Horror Story, Felicity, Buffy, Sopranos

Oh, and more hate: Girls, Doctor Who, CBS reality shows

i don't hate big bang theory, but i'm always amazed at how popular it is.

admittedly, i've only seen a few minutes of the show...it's all i could take.

Hate - Girls.

Can appreciate but just isn't for me - Game of Thrones (too rapey), Dexter (because I can't watch a serial killer with the same name as my sweet doggy).

Have never seen but want to - Breaking Bad. Maybe we'll do a marathon this summer.

Have never seen but wanted to, planned to get around to it for a while, but have pretty much given up at this point - Lost.

Have never seen and not interested - True Blood, any of the 'real housewives' shows. There are so many in this category actually, but I'm not going through every show to list them.

Perhaps; I've never seen a full episode of this show. All I know of it are the few clips I've seen in the TBS commercials, and those have been super dumb, so if that's what most people think is smart and witty writing, then that is sad commentary indeed.

Hate: New Girl, Jersey Shore, Teen Mom, Friends, 2 1/2 Men, Mob Wives, Basketball Wives, RHBH, Cleveland Show, Extreme Edition Home Makeover.

Never seen: Pretty much anything on CBS . I watched a few episodes of HIMYM on a 16 hour flight but that's cause I was desperate and couldn't sleep.

I do watch Big Bang but only after it started coming on TBS.

I have seen an episode (or part of one) of the Big Bang Theory, and I hated it! My sister and BIL love it, and I just can't get into it.

For all of you who HATE Big Bang Theory.......
You should start watching it from the very beginning. I think the earlier shows were much more creative and funny, without so much of the stupid, predictable humor they use now.
That said- I still watch it every week!

I'm not sure how "popular" is being defined here.

Whitney is not a popular show - it gets pretty low ratings. The Wire also got terrible ratings the whole time it was on the air. Not many people watch Mad Men or Breaking Bad either, even though it might seem that way because they're so visible in pop culture. Many other shows mentioned here are also not popular (Friday Night Lights, Arrested Development, Parks & Rec, etc.).

I hate "Two and a Half Men" on principle. My mom tried to get me to watch an episode and it was like nails on a chalkboard.

I also don't like most reality t.v. Project Runway is the only reality show I watch. I can see Amazing Race, Top Chef, etc. being enjoyable, but I never got into them. I don't understand the appeal of the Jersey Shore/RHOC "trainwreck"-type shows.

I hate The Office. I hate Everybody Loves Raymond, Whitney and Two Broke Girls, but I think those are popular opinions. Never liked Dawson's Creek.

I have never watched Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Parks and Rec, Project Runway (or any fashion show), True Blood, Breaking Bad, The Wire, The Sopranos, any of the Real Housewives shows, any vocal competition show, or Two and a Half Men.

I cannot watch the .sopranos. It makes me physically upset the way the women are all used and abused (physically and emotionally) in that show. (weird for me to feel that way)
