Anyone going? Anyone going in Cosplay? I got bullied into a vacation with my mom, its the first time I will ever be on a vacation with her, I would rather be at the con.
  My DH is only going on the Saturday pass, with our DD. I made her a Sailor Venus outfit, that looks so cute. We have been quite a few times, we had just moved to Atlanta last year, so we skipped it, and just had friends come over who had came up for the con.

I've never been, but I've thought about it. GenCon is a nice, easy 3 hour drive for us. DragonCon would take some more planning. I have heard that it's quite the wild time, though!

I'm going! Last year was my first year and I "only" brought two costumes, but I am bringing at least 4 this year and convinced my husband to do two (less complicated and easier to wear) ones that go with mine I'm super excited and also hoping it will be less overwhelming than our first time. We'll be taking more food for sure so we don't have to wait in the long lines and also requested a room on a lower floor so we don't have to depend on the elevators!

We went out to lunch today and compared our panel schedules on the app, lol.

Its gotten really big, the first time I went, it was only one of the hotels. Now its just a huge party lol. I have friends from Fl who come up every year, its like 8 people into one of the hotel rooms, and its so much fun getting to catch up with them.
What are you going to cosplay as?

She is going to be so cute. If you are okay with it, you should PIP her in her costume.  I hope she has fun with your DH. I'm sorry you can't go.

  I pretty excited how its turning out. I have had 3 sewing lessons, and trying to figure out how to do the zipper on my own. I wanted to do a huge whole sailor moon group, but maybe next year.
  Its hard getting measurements, each time I try she starts yelling ouch ouch, no no, bad. If she had her way, she would be in a diaper, and shoes. She loves shoes more then any toddler I have seen.

Right now, I've got Candlehead (Wreck-it Ralph), Petra Arkanian (Ender's Game), Fluttershy (My Little Pony) and a modified Codex (The Guild).

Right now, I've got Candlehead (Wreck-it Ralph), Petra Arkanian (Ender's Game), Fluttershy (My Little Pony) and a modified Codex (The Guild).

  Those sound awesome, you should show pics. Last year one of the girls in my group went as Queen Chrysalis and had bronies following her all day. It wasn't even a sexy version, but it was pretty awesome, i wish I had pics of it.

WHEW I just finished everything for the con! 48 whole hours in advance, that's better than last year!



This is my purse for my Candlehead costume, modeled after her racecar.  I put it off till last since it wasn't  an essential part of the costume, so it was the last thing I finished. You can see part of the helmet on the left too.  Tomorrow we pack up allll the costumes and everything and then we drive to Atlanta Thursday!

I'm going! I'll only be doing one cosplay. Normally I do multiples... but omg, DragonCon last year was insane! My first year going, actually. I'll be a pirate this year. Last year, I did wild west steampunk.
I'll keep on eye out for you!

   That looks super cute! I am so sad I going to miss all the fun.
