Ad problem

I'm using the mobile site on my phone. I've noticed that there's an ad in some posts that is automatically redirecting me to the Google Play store. I haven't seen the ad itself, but the link I see includes "mobicow."

I most recently ran into this on ML in the thread following up on numb hands. Can't remember the exact post title.

Where exactly does it send you to on the Google Play store (e.g. what app?)

Does this happen just when browsing a thread, or does it happen after posting a reply?

It happened just when browsing. I didn't see where exactly it took me in the Google Play store, but I'll see if I can re-create the issue so I can let you know. I found a link in my browser history but this time it took me to a YouTube video.

It happened again and I ended up at Candy Crush in the Google Play store.

Those sneaky bastards! Candy Crush really is evil.

There are two programs/sites this happens with for me. I load PB and am redirected to a website which redirects to the play store. The first directs to the Octane Browser program in the google play store. when I hit back and return to the browser it is to cdn.mobicow.com. The second program/site is candy crush and adtrack.king.com

Patrick For the Candy Crush redirect I'm getting, there appears to be a different ad than Candy Crush, but I don't remember specifics of what it was advertising. I'm redirected to CC in the Google Play store, but when I try to back out I get both cdn.mobicow.com and adtrack.king.com.

It happened to me most recently in the "at my witts end" post on ML

The ad I saw when it happened this morning said "Top Android Apps, Download now" and then redirected me to Candy Crush. If I try to back out before it's completely loaded, I get taken to a youtube video.

Yes! I've been having problems lately too. Same exact issues as described above, with candy crush and the dragons game coming up.

It's happening to me when I'm on my phone - but I think what it is is a banner ad popping up in the middle of the screen (instead of just at the bottom where they usually are) and then going to click a link to reply/view a post and hitting the ad instead. Like, it's not there when I go to click but it's sneaky and jumps in there at random times.

Keep reporting any problems you are having here. Proboards is monitoring this thread and sending responses to their ad provider as they work to resolve this matter.

I didn't see the banner ad responsible, but I just refreshed a page and was automatically redirected to badoink.com and something that said it was the ultimate porn app, I believe.

I did some testing this morning with the mobile view and wasn't able to re-create this issue at all. Just wanted to see if this is something you still experience? Or does the re-direct no longer happen?

This was the first and only time I've had that issue thus far. If it does recur I will post details.

I received a redirect to a porn site watchmygf or something. I was browsing on the Married Life board, clicked on a post to read and was taken there. I was using Safari on my phone. NOT what I was expecting to see...

I'm experiencing this issue today.

Whenever I click the "Recent Posts" link in the proboards mobile page, I get redirected to YouTube and told to verify that I'm a real person due to "extensive requests from my network".

I have checked the admin settings of the forum, and the navigation link is still setup correctly, yet I get redirected every time.

I've had it happen with redirecting me to the iPhone App Store. I get to Candy Crush usually, and I've ended up at one other game by the same makers, but I can't remember what it is now.
