I don't care if it's pressed or loose. I prefer something colorless (white) so I can order online and not worry about finding a shade that works. I want it for oil control, but it doesn't need to be matte. I may actually like something with a tiny bit of shimmer. Or is that dumb? Lol. I just prefer a glowy, dewy complexion rather than matte.

For illuminating powder I really like Too Faced's Candlelight powder. I use a light dusting over my Laura Mercier finishing powder (which I wouldn't recommend for oil control--I'm trying something new after I finish this one) and it really makes my skin glow.
I use both BM mineral Veil and Tarte's Smooth operator and love them both.
Korres has a finishing powder with "light capturing" properties (lol) that you may want to look into. I usually stray away from anything that is supposed to make one look "dewy", because that just translates into "oil slick" on my face, especially in pictures. I find that the Korres mineral foundation I use has just enough of a sheen to it to give me a dewy look that is natural and not shimmery, haha. Topping it off with either MV or SO just sets it in nicely and provides additional oil control without making me look chalky.
I have actually used the Clinique pressed powder in the past and did really like it. I think my color was Stay Buff.
MAC Fix Plus or the Evian Setting Spray will instantly take the "powdery" look away and gives a really nice dewy glow while still setting your makeup. I love a healthy glow and I swear by using a setting powder under my eyes and sometimes the whole face, then when I'm done my makeup I use the Evian (but Fix Plus works the best) and it gives the glow your looking for.
Also I love MAC MSF Soft and gentle as a highlighter. I used it on my niece yesterday and her skin color is the same as yours and it looked GORGEOUS!

I like the Urban Decay De-Slick pressed powder. It has the oil control you'd expect from De-Slick, but since it's pressed you can carry it in your purse. I haven't had a problem with build-up, so you can re-apply as much as necessary. I got mine at Sephora.
Honestly Dawgs, I wouldn't worry about having more of a dewy look....your skin glows in photos already. I mean that seriously
Awww, thanks! Hopefully you mean in a good way and not an oil slick way ha ha. I really am very happy with the whole skin care routine plus the Clinique BB and Revlon illuminator.

I looked at a bunch of pictures of the MSF Soft and Gentle, and it's sooo pretty!
I think I'm going to do the ELF High Def powder, MAC MSF Soft and Gentle, and also MAC Fix Plus.
Do you feel that the ELF powder is pretty comparable to the MUFE? I always prefer to stick to good drugstore dupes when they exist. I googled, and see quite a few bloggers saying that there is minimal difference, and that the MUFE is not worth an additional $25 or whatever.
Late to the post but I just bought the Smashbox Photo Set Finishing Powder and so far so good. I love that it's translucent so I don't feel like I have so much makeup caked on.
