My husband, daughter, and I are headed to Savannah in August for our 5 year wedding anniversary. Our daughter will be 15 months old at that time. Any suggestions for things to do or places to eat?
We will most likely be staying in a suite at the AVIA. I thought a day at Tybee Island would be nice. We are also interested in some sort of boat/water tour as well as seeing a plantation. We like history and also want to do things that will keep our daughter interested. Thanks!
My husband and I went there for our anniversary. We did the trolley tour of the city and spent a few hours at Tybee. We were only there for 2 days so we didn't do any boat tours but I got most of my dinner recommendations from the tripadvisor.com travel forum.

There are so many things you can do with your daughter. I would recommend a dolphin tour. If you head out to Tybee, contact Captain Mike's Dolphin Tours. They are closest to the area best known for a ton of dolphins. They've also been around longer. If you want food out that way, I would suggest Sundae Cafe for lunch. The Crab Shack or Sting Ray's would be my dinner suggestions.
In town, look into a trolley tour on your first day. Head over to the Visitor's Center. There are several tour companies who offer two days for $10/person. You can get on and off their trolleys all day for those two days. It's a great way to tour around and check things out on your own. I'd forgo a big stroller and stick with an umbrella stroller. It's going to be really hot in August and you won't want to do a lot of walking. Great places to eat in town are Leoci's, SoHo South Cafe, The Boar's Head, Harris Baking Company, Mrs Wilkes, Sisters of the New South, Carlito's, Sushi Zen, jazz'd, SOL, Cha Bella and Churchill's.
