There was a huge deal about Heath ledger being joker, you know he was in broke back mountain, but he would make it a gay joker, and I think he did an amazing job as it.
Also remember when people were screaming Mr mom was going to be batman, but I think he did ok, not an amazing job, but he played a decent one. I think people should give him a chance. Hes not my first choice, but since hes been directing I think his acting has improved a lot.

Yeah - this is a little overboard. I don't think it's a fantastic casting decision, but so what. It's not my call, and if I don't like the result, I just won't go see the movie.

I guess there are advantages to being old...I remember when everyone LOST THEIR FREAKIN' MIND when Michael Keaton was cast as Batman, and when Hugh Jackman was cast as Wolverine. Who knows, maybe Affleck will knock it out of the park. In the end it's all about the writing. Hell, George Lucas turned Natalie Portman into a bad actor, maybe Affleck as Daredevil was a lost cause.

Yeah, I really can't stand Ben Affleck, and even I think this is overboard. I was so disappointed in the Daredevil movie, but that wasn't entirely his fault. The whole thing was just bad.

I think there was bound to be fallout no matter who they picked, just because comic book movies tend to be so polarizing (and let's face it, Batman is THE comic book of comic books!), but then they chose a very polarizing actor on top of that.

And as others have said, people were up in arms about tons of previous casting choices as well. Some of those turned out great, some not so much. But you just never know until it's done.

So yeah, I'm rambling, but give him a chance.

Star Wars is huge in our house at the moment because we just introduced it to the kids so it has been playing nonstop for weeks. I was watching Episode 2 the other day thinking, Wow, Natalie Portman really sucks.

This has been a serious source of confusion in our home.  My kids are 7 and nearly 6 and the whole sequence situation and crappiness of 1-3 confounds them.  They actually turned the TV off in the middle of Ep. 1 because they disliked it so much.

My sister, for some unknown reason, sent him a Jar Jar action figure in the mail (she probably got it as a freebie at something), and my husband was like "Nooo!"  I took it to work to pawn off on some other kid. We've shown him the pod racer sequence, but we're hoping to avoid pretty much everything else.
