Friday: Rest Sat: 2.5 hour gravel grinder with 3 miles of singletrack Sunday: Cyclocross practice. I really wanted to ride longer today, but my knee is finally feeling better. I need to give it til next weekend when I plan to do some really long miles.
Fri and Sat: Walking around county fair. It includes the mile walk from our house into the grounds. Sun: 18 mile road ride and back to the fair for dinner. - I don't think any amount of workouts would burn off what I ate this weekend!!
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming 'Woohoo! What a ride!' So every day is a holiday and every meal a feast."

F: 2 mile easy run S: Officially a rest day. But I helped my brother paint his house, so my arms and shoulders definitely got a workout! S: Quite possibly my favorite run ever. I did 11 miles on the Great Allegheny Passage trail near my hometown in PA. It was a beautiful, cool morning. I didn't bring my ipod, so all I could hear was the river. And the people I passed were so friendly. I could have kept running for much longer.
Fri: 2000 yd swim Sat: Mowed the lawn, worked in the yard, raked up a bunch of mulch...my arm is sore from this so I am counting it as a legit workout! Sun: 4 mi run
