DS refuses to potty train. We've tried everything- ignoring it and waiting for him to do it on his own, 3 day method, bribery, etc. He CAN do it- he shows all the signs of readiness, he is just being stubborn about this (And everything else- no idea where he gets that from ).
He will be 4 in October and I'm convinced DD will potty train first.
We talked to her a little about it when we were there for Anna's 15 month appointment in July. She said to just keep on trying and we would talk about it at his 4 year appointment in October.

I'm so sorry. Potty training G was relatively easy, so I don't have much advice. (And J came that way!)
Does he wear underpants or diapers? A friend had the same trouble with her son and eventually only allowed underwear when awake. He got tired of the mess and hassle after a week and started using the potty. It was a very, very, very, long week for her though.

My cousin didn't get her some trained until he was almost 5, I think some kids are just stubborn. If he is showing signs of ready I would go with bug's idea of just having him in underwear and let him start dealing with the accidents

Honestly, she woke up one day and it clicked for peeing. She would lay in the floor and beg for a diaper when she had to poop. She refused to wear one unless she had to poop. One day H said poop on the potty or clean it up. After cleaning it up once, we had no more problems. H threw the diapers in the trash. She was over 3
