Does anyone have this top? How do you wear it? I just received mine and can't decide if I like it. My H thinks the puffy sleeves are weird. And I'm not sure about the high neckline with my big boobs. I tried it tucked into a pencil skirt, and I worry that it just looks weird.
I don't have it, but what about skinny jeans or the minnie pant? I like the top a lot, and I think the puffy sleeves are cute.
I'm really only willing to spend that much on a top (even on sale) if I can wear it to work. I'm starting a faculty position, which is fairly casual, but jeans are out. Maybe I should look into the Minnie pants.
I have broad shoulders and think that maybe the puffy sleeves are just too much, or something. I also don't take a lot of fashion risks (not like J. Crew is particularly risky haha) and wonder if maybe it's just outside my comfort zone.
When I tried it on last night, H kept looking at the shirt like he was trying to process what it was. Haha.
If you're not comfortable wearing it, you should take it back! Regardless of whether or not its cute to others, if you don't feel good in it, its not worth it.

The minnie pant is fab. I have them in black and I wear them all the time. They used to have them at my local factory store, but they were called the "winnie" pant.
What if you wear the blouse with a pencil skirt and dont tuck it in? Tucking it in I think would just make it look more poofy.

I know. But I'm trying to dress cuter and try some new things, and I thought that maybe this top would work if I could get it styled right.

I understand and commend you for trying to dress cuter! Be sure to stick around here :-) We will help you.
The thing with J Crew is that their pieces are super wearable and super style-able; maybe you got too aggressive and picked too difficult a top to try and style? I would suggest exchanging it for a simpler, more cleaner-lined piece. It's no fun when you're stumped and I think there may be some better options for you there.
and .... since J Crew is so popular, there are TONS of blogs that feature J Crew pieces and that's great inspiration. Veronika's Blushing (she posts here), Pink Peonies, The Small Things blogs all feature a lot of J Crew -- if you don't already read them, I'd suggest checking them out.

I totally support that, but again, just because its a cute blouse doesn't mean its flattering on everyone (not that its not on you, I haven't seen it on you yet), and regardless of wanting to dress better, if you're not feeling good in what you are wearing, that defeats the purpose!
Maybe you can PIP a pic of you in the blouse and we can give you better ideas for styling it that would work on you specifically?
I guess I'm not asking how it looks on me specifically as much as ideas on what to wear it with. I searched online and only found it with skinny pants. I was hoping to wear it with a pencil skirt, but it seems too...blousy or something. If you have the Talitha blouse, how do you wear it?
