Help me pick lipstick...

I know I need to just go to Sephora and try some stuff on... but, without some recs in hand, that could be dangerous.  

I'm looking for some new lipstick.  I want something that's a little bit brighter/bolder, doesn't make me look like a clown, and makes my teeth look white (they have a very yellow color, despite having tried various whitening treatments...).  

I know the general stuff - pick something with blue undertones, no oranges, etc.  But, I'm wondering if anyone has specific suggestions?
I'm attaching a pic, so you have a sense of my coloring.  I usually also wear tortiseshell glasses.

I'll take other makeup/beauty suggestions, as well (aside from "cut those bangs shorter, they're in your eye!")...    
But, I'm specifically needing new lipstick.  I was going for "natural" in these pics, so I just have on some philosophy gloss.

I tried Hourglass the last time I was looking for lipstick, thanks to a Sephora sales associate.

It goes on SO smoothly and it is super creamy, but not in a sticky/waxy way. It lasts a decently long time, but I wasn't looking for something to last a full day either.

I'm pale-ish with pink undertones and was looking for something for every day, and that wouldn't be overpowering or clash if I did a smoky/dramatic eye.

I ended up with "Vintage" but will probably try "Ballet" or "Fresco" next time I am looking for something new.
