Mine did this and he bled too. He also got his first tooth at 4 months and was too young for Motrin, which works so much better than Tylenol. I used orajel before I knew you weren't supposed to. When he went into a screaming fit a dot of it on his gum really stopped it. Ask the pediatrician if there is something like orajel for babies.

I found teething tablets at the grocery store with the baby supplies. They are just little dissolving tablets. You're supposed to put them under their tongue, but that didn't work, so I put a few in her cup.
I also do orajel, and it's never seemed to make it last longer.

Hylands tablets and gel are both on the market and can be found in Whole Foods or other holistic/organic markets. You put one (or two) tablet(s) under their tongue. They are about the size of a saccharine table if you know what those are. It's the only thing that helped my kid STTN when he was teething. During the day I used the gel, just like you do Orajel because I thought if I gave him a tablet it would make him sleepy. IDK why but I just didn't.

Hyland teething tabs were off the market in the US before Jackson started teething. A good friend of mine had an almost full bottle left over from her 2 year old and she gave it to me. I rationed that bottle like it was gold over the past year and a half. They are the only thing that worked for us and I was so sad when the bottle ran out.
Apparently you can buy them in stores again here, I am going to have to order some on amazon today. Jackson is nutso at night when he teethes and last night I just pulled him in with us because I couldn't take the crying anymore.
The teething tablets have belladonna in them and some people were giving their kids too many and over medicating them. I love the heck out of those tablets though and used them. I alternated ibuprofen and tylenol every four hours and teething tablets. It was the only thing that worked for us.
Didn't someone on here suggest using a tongue depressor to help get the tooth to pop through the gums? I don't know if I could do it, but I bet I'd be thinking about it seriously if my kid screamed for days on end. I suppose it's better to get the pain over with sooner. Maybe when the time comes whoever did it to their kid can come over and do it to the girls and I can be off shopping while it happens

We do a combo of an amber necklace and chamomilla tabs and the only teeth that really seemed to bother her were the top molars and canines (strangely the bottom were fine). She was 13 months before she started getting teeth, though, I'm sure that can make a difference. Good luck!

Teething tablets are safe. Some parents were ODing their children on them and causing belladonna poisoning. Follow the directions on the label. We never even had to give LO the recommended dosage to see results.
Hylands isn't regulated by the FDA, and there were cases of massive amounts of belladonna in the tablets that were obviously not supposed to be. I wouldnt use them.

Hyland is regulated by the FDA first of all. You would have to give your child over 100 tablets to see the first side effect of too much belladonna, which is dry mouth. There was a problem with inconsistency in how much was in each tablet and the bottles were not child proof which could also lead to a kid taking too much, from my understanding these were both fixed which is why they were allowed back on the market.
