Oh man - when I read about his 911 call, I almost cried. This sounds like a guy who will mentally punish himself for all time - regardless of what the law does. Poor guy. poor daughter. I hope they are ok.

I seriously doubt our office would have even charged him. Here, you can use as much force in defense of someone else as that person could use in defense of herself. It's not like he shot the guy.
Well, personally, I would have expected a texas grand jury to indict a man who beat to death someone caught in the act of molesting his daughter. That's just what I would have expected from a grand jury. In Texas.

Yep its a very small town between San Antonio and Houston. I drove right past it the other day.
I'm glad he's not being indicted, but I do feel badly for the man, he obviously didn't mean to kill him but his urge to protect his child took over. I hope the family is able to find peace.
This story is heartbreaking. Also, the fact that he was on the phone with 911 operators trying to save this person life. I can't imagine the guilt he must be going through even though he was totally justified in protecting his daughter

OK, you're being sarcastic in this thread, right? That's what I assumed earlier.
I heard the Texans *hate* vigilante justice. And *love* child molesters. So I just do not know what to think about this result. No one could have seen it coming.
