So for our family reunion last week, my family was beyond generous. My dad and two brothers split the cost of the rental so that my sister and I didn't have to worry about the expense. (They're all double-income and within driving distance. We flew and my sister drove 12+ hours) One of my brothers drove into Boston to pick us up, let us have his car for the week, and drove us back to the airport so we wouldn't have to spend $500+ on a rental car. And he's the kind of jerk who got pissed off when we put gas in the car. He didn't think we should have to pay for it.
So I'm looking for thank you gift ideas for the menfolk in my family. Something small-ish for my dad and oldest brother, but something more substantial for my other brother. Here are the problems I'm running into- -You can't send booze to MA. -My SIL is a vegetarian, so steaks are out. So are most food gift baskets. -Childcare is tricky for them. They have a 13yo with special needs, so she can't be home alone, but she insists that she's too old for a sitter, so a GC to a nice restaurant wouldn't really work. -I looked into a detail package for his car, but it's not really his style. I think he's about to get a different car anyway, so it might be a waste.
