O.o how did I miss this board? Intro/AMA

I see some names I recognize from MM and/or MMM, but also lots of new ones.

Anyway hello. I'm 33 and a programmer for a B2B web video company (IT'S NOT PORN I SWEAR. WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT). These days I mostly play Starcraft 2, but I also enjoy JRPGs, Borderlands, Rock Band, and Street Fighter. I put together a "paternity leave game backlog" but now that our son is here it just reads like a big joke. We play a lot of Catan, Dominion, and Ascension with our friends abs siblings/in-laws. I have friends who are into more obscure/hardcore TT games but we really only dabble beyond the bigger games.

Right now I'm in line for the Harmonix panel at PAX. Tomorrow I'll be moderating a panel called "Web Video for Gamers", so if you have ever wanted to do Let's Play or stream on twitch.tv, stay tuned and I will post video of it!

My wife and I live here in Seattle with our newborn son. Yes, I am a dude. I was on TK when we were planning our wedding in 2009-10 because msniq was busy with law school and I was the one who wanted a PPPD anyway. I left for a while but the pull of the local board brought me back in.

I guess people use intro threads as AMAs, so fire away but because of the Con I might not reply quickly.

This board is pretty slow so far but I think there's potential. I'm not a gamer but a lot of the other posters seem to be, especially if you like the Sims.

I think I need to try playing Catan again. I liked the game but it made me so mad! I get overly invested in board games. Have you played Last Night on Earth? I like that one a lot.

We live in Greenwood, northeast of Ballard and south of shoreline. msniq grew up in Seward park; I'm from Atlanta GA but have lived here for eleven years now.

I've watched other people play the Sims but haven't gotten into it myself. Maybe I'll give it a try on pat leave

Pedi said to avoid big crowds until he gets to six weeks because treatment options are limited that early in life. Plus it's too loud and busy. Maybe at age four? Idk.

Yeah I've been to SDCC a couple times; can't think of much worse than trying to haul a newborn through the unwashed con masses.
