If you feed your cat raw, questions/experience

Our cat Charlie was adopted almost a year ago and suffers from a variety of digestive issues. The short version is an infection and the sudden switch to a dry diet at the rescue has lead to inflammation. The first 6 wks we had him were a nightmare. We managed to get him under control with a high quality wet diet, fiber, pro-bioditics, etc. Occasionally he's had issues when we've been gone and the sitter didn't feed him as carefully as we do. He usually cleared up after 48 hours of his normal routine.

Anyway, we are currently having a bad flare up and one of the things we discussed with the vet is going raw if he had another length occurrence. He has his annual this week so I am going to speak with her about it as well. In the meantime I would love to hear your experiences or sites you found helpful. Also, do you DIY or use a frozen product like Primal?
