Acer makes some decent ones. But I've never really used them for gaming.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure that you're going to find a a $700 laptop that plays Sims, at least not well. And that's why I have a $300 laptop for homework and then my own desktop. I don't think DH and I would be able to share one desktop!

I think you can build a really great pc for $700! Better than any laptop you'll get off the shelf.
