If we are friends on Facebook you might have guessed that things are going on with us. So here it is
I will preface this with we are ok and have no thinking that Ella was a target. We are still trying to figure out what to do next. There are many legal financial and logistical things we need to figure out. I want to also say that this might be very difficult for people with sexual trauma to read so please don't feel like you need to read this. local people will have seen in the news that a teacher in my town was arrested Thursday for child pornography. He was the math teacher on my team for the last 3 years. He is also my landlord. We live upstairs they live down in a two family house. He has a wife and 2 college aged boys.

This is what happened Anyway at about 4 pm Thursday I get a knock on the door and it is the wife. She has 2 guys standing next to her and is all upset says she needs Steve my co worker to come home is not answering his phone. She needs me to call the school and have him paged to come home. This is when i realize the two men have guns. one is a state trooper the other has an insignia on the shirt that I don't recognize and don't get to figure out what it says. I first I think one if the boys has been killed. Then she blurts out that they have a search warrant for the computers. I run upstairs call school and machine answers so I call a friend who is still at school. She finds him. she puts him on the phone. I tell him to get home now that Amy is freaking out and the police are at his house. I go down to tell them he is in way and there are 5 state police that i can see and at least 4 of some sort of other officers that I can't identify. Three unmarked police cars and some sort of crazy ass truck are in front of my house and the truck is in the driveway with a SUV blocking any vehicle from leaving the driveway. They pretty much slam door in my face and I go upstairs for the next 4 hours there are cops in and out. Computers taken to the crazy truck. people in the truck out People leave they come back. In addition to the uniformed people there are also 4-5 plan clothed detectives. Finally a marked cruiser comes and takes my co worker away in handcuffs. At some point I go out to talk to the officers to find out what is going on. They can't tell directly but I know my co worker was arrested for child pornography. The strange insignia people are homeland security. He has now been arraigned on 2 counts of possession and 1 of dissemination. He is out on bail. If you search for this story it is all over Boston news you can get all the details. I am on my phone so can't put a link on. I have been assured by the detective who has seen the actual images that Ella is not in them and that they are commercial not amateur self taken. He also said that ella is not in his age if interest. which makes me feel slightly better about ella but makes me sick about this on the professional side. He is out on bail and in the house.

This is a man I taught on a team with ate lunch with everyday and who has pretty much complete access to my apartment since he has keys. He has never been alone with Ella but could have been in our apartment very easily hell he was there last week while we were out fixing my closet. i am sick about this. He also coached the boys gymnastics team at the high school and worked at a day camp every summer. This is going to be a crap show. We just signed a lease but trying to figure out if we can break it. I want move now. We are freaking out. In debt to our ears. No money to move. I think my in laws should buy us a house so I don't have to have a land lord. Right now we are trying to figure out the next few days. Then trying to figure out the bigger picture. Right now I am just trying to figure out how to get through Tuesday. Not only is my home life in crisis but also my professional life. I don't even know how we are going to start school Tuesday. I teach sixth grade and the first day of school is hard enough with them usually ugh god. For sue she can go to work and at least get away from all of this for a bit. For my co workers they can go home and get away by going home. Me not so much. We have several offers to stay with people. And I know if we move my co workers will come and empty our house in a few hours. We just need to he a plan a place to live and a pile of cash for first last and security. So yeah things are a bit nuts.

Oh no! I heard this on the news but I can't believe he's your co-worker and landlord! I am so glad Ella was not involved in any way but I can imagine how disturbing it all is for you to be there. It sounds like you have lots of help from friends and family but if I can do anything to help, let me know.

I am so sorry. How horrifying! You've been through so much lately.

I hope you can get out of that house ASAP. I wish I could help.

I can't imagine how scary this must be on a personal level and what a mess if must be on a professional one.

Thank G -d Ella was not in those image! His poor wife and family. These kind of stories make me ill.

That's just awful. So thankful Ella was not his target, but I'm sure the stress at work and at home is weighing on you!! I hope you're able to move quickly.

Omg. I am so sorry your family is going through this. So glad to hear Ella was not involved but goodness that's scary. I hope you find a solution to your housing soon and can at least have peace in that. ((Hugs))
