PJ and I are travelling to CA next month and I need some sort of bed for him to sleep in. He hates sleeping in the bed with me, so that's not an option.
I've look at infant travel beds at BRU and on Amazon but it seems like they're all too short - he's 27" now (really tall) and will likely be 28" by next month.
Any ideas or suggestions for what we should do? I'm staying at my grandma's house.
Does your grandmother know anyone who might have a Pack-n-Play? When I visited my family, my mom was able to borrow a PnP from one of her friends who happened to have one for when her grandchild visits.

We tried a Peapod with DD and it's a really bad idea if they're sleeping in the same room as you. All you hear all night is the kid moving around and the mattress rubbing against the bottom of the tent. It's completely annoying, but if you're in separate areas it's NBD.

If you travel a lot take a look at the Baby Bjorn Travel crib www.amazon.com/BABYBJÖRN-Travel-Crib-Light-Blue/dp/B005EWF3J2/ref=dp_ob_title_baby we have used this since DD was 6 weeks old and love it. It is pricey so it probably wouldn't be worth it unless you would use it frequently. It is great for air travel and is considered a baby item. It sets up in like 20 seconds and is easy to take down. DD is almost 25 months and fits in there easily still. Peapod would never work for us because zipping it would wake DD back up. Since we travel a lot the BB crib has been well worth the money (FWIW our home crib was about half that price
I'm bumping this. I'm not at all crazy about SIDS, but is this peapod thing a suffocation risk at all? A is six months, can roll over, while sleeping he usually scoots all over and rolls up on his side, smooshes his face against his breathable bumper. It seems like that would be a bad idea against nylon?
We're going camping in a couple weeks and this looks great for the ILs too, instead of lugging the pack n play.
we are thinking of the peapod, but worried LT wont stay in it. DUmb question, but did you zip them in or did they just stay?
Naomi did roll out to the side once. You zip it up. If LT is a light sleeper, the zipper may wake him. We had that issue with Naomi a few times.
Pesca - I didn't think of that, but part of it is mesh. Nae sleeps like that too, but we didn't have any issues with it. At 6 months though, kids are rolling around pretty well and I don't think you really have to worry that he can't roll back over.
As to the noisiness of it, little kids sleep loudly anyway, so the nylon didn't bother me.
