Just got back from camping and my husband found a tick crawling in my hair. How concerned should I be? Since it was crawling around I am guessing it didn't bite and no marks anywhere suggesting more ticks. Immediately gave the cats a treatment of revolution to protect them but at this point is it just a waiting game for me? After a quick google search it looks identical to a picture of a dog tick.

We get them on us all the time. You're fine as long as they're gone. I'd double check everyone to make sure you don't have one on you but we've never had an issue as long as they're removed in time.
You are probably fine. Just check yourself well for other ticks. If you get a bullseye looking rash anywhere, get yourself to the doctor for some antibiotics.
for future reference, if you do find any embedded, use your nails or tweezers and pull up and out (between its head and body) . Make sure all parts are removed. although it may seem easier, never use rubbing alcohol, cigarette/match, etc, to remove a tick. That can cause the tick to throw up". The bacteria that causes lyme disease is found in their digestive tract.

Thanks everyone! My husband and I both looked each other over well and no signs of any. We will definitely keep watch for any bullseyes! what's weird is he saw a bug (was the tick) moving in my hair after our 6 hour drive home. Has me on edge.

H and I went camping this past weekend and, as always, found a few ticks on ourselves and the dog during/after.
Ticks can carry diseases, but they don't transmit those diseases until they've been attached for 24-36 hours... so if you found it crawling on you and not even attached yet, there's nothing to worry about.
The pets should be protected by the flea/tick preventative. It causes the tick to die if it does try to attach. We checked and bathed our dog after we got home, but the next morning found two dead ticks in his bed. That means we had missed them somehow, but it also means the Frontline is doing its job!
