OP: I think if we, as women, would let men be men and stop trying to control all aspects of a relationship, the relationship would actually last. I think we've all become a bit too independent, not that being independent is a bad thing, but men should be the ones asking us out, making plans, and being the ones doing the work instead of us working ourselves to death trying to control everything....
1: Been there done that, and my husband left me for a girl that is younger than his kids, and weighs about 400lbs. Nothing against big people but he called me fat all the time and I weigh 160lbs.
OP: You deserve way better than to be treated like that 1. Karma has a way of taking care of that....he will be begging you back someday, for sure.
OP: I'm just saying, I think we need to get back to basics, and do things the way they used to be done. If we look at older people and their relationships, they did things way different than we do now.
1: They sure did!!
2: This is how it should be "But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ. " 1 Cor 11:3 "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, " Ephesians 5:25
3: Don't you love knowing there is a plan and it is a perfect plan. We should never have tried to change it
4: The bible is the only book ever printed where the author is present every time its read

Okay, all of this is super WTF-worthy, but the above quote seriously made me chuckle.
I'm just picturing God sitting on the couch next to me, being like "Soooo... what part are you on now??" And I'd say, "Um, Leviticus?" And then he'd be like, "Oh, man - just WAIT until you get to Deuteronomy! It starts to get seriously awesome!"
Single and looking for a relationship and marriage per a status she posted before this one.
Here is that post: "I think I've come to the conclusion I want a serious relationship with marriage in my future. I am really tired of the single life. I just need a man that wants to take care of me, instead of me taking care of him..."
