I just figured out how much money I take home each

year after taxes and daycare. Even with free daycare for three months, it isn't pretty. Is not pretty at all.

I'm writing this down as another reason I need a new fucking job.

Eye opening, isn't it? I keep crunching numbers to figure out if cutting back on daycare could justify a part time schedule. It's not working for me.

After I quit my second job, I'm questioning if there is enough there to even work. That's how bad it is. My daycare is crazy cheap too.

I often fantasize about what I am going to do with all of the money I will save when Jackson is out of daycare, which of course won't be until he is 5 going on 6 because his birthday is 1 day after Kindergarten cutoff. I'm pretty sure we are going to go to Hawaii.

His daycare costs is half of my monthly take home pay. It's outrageous, although I did pick an expensive center so I can't complain too much.

I'm still freaking out about this. I talked to DH, and if we planted a few more acres of corn, I wouldn't have to work. He does not agree. But holy hell.
