I just started playing again, I decided I wanted to do a WoW costume after seeing some of the great ones at Dragon*Con. So I'm starting by collecting the pieces I'm missing from the old raids.
MoP is fun and all but you're not really missing anything, IMO. Yeah it's fun to be a panda but it's not that different from all the questing you've done before.
Don't play WoW... It's boring. Play Final Fantasy XIV, that game is really fun!
How is it? My DH really wants to get into it, but I am still a little burned out from hard core lvling and raiding from WoW. Right now we are playing Diablo like once a week.

It's really fun, they've had some opening issues with server capacity so for the first couple of weeks we were on a Japanese server, but they've got a lot of that dealt with and they are continuing to add server space. The game play is fun, the inventory system is great - a separate bag space for gear vs stuff. There is no junk in the game and they give you tons of bag space. You can also train any class you want, so even if you start off as a Archer or whatever, once you get to level 10 you can train in any other one you want. There are specific combinations of classes that work well and give you other bonuses, but I'm only level 17 so I haven't got all that figured out yet .
We're only playing with a small group at the moment (only 4 of us) but the groups are designed for 4 or 8 people (I think, I haven't seen an 8 person group yet, just read about it) so it's working well for us. The crafting is fun... all in all, we're enjoying it. It doesn't feel like a rush to max level because they are slowly unrolling the story as you go, so you don't know what the end game is like. So we'll see... I'm liking it waaaaaay better than Neverwinter Nights. I think I'm just going to stay away from micro transaction games, they generally irritate me to no end.

I really enjoyed questing in Pandaria (leveled up 3 of my old toons from 80-85 and a panda from 1-85) but I fucking despised all the dailies you had to do once you were level capped along with everything else in order to stay competitively geared enough to raid. It's one thing to commit to X numbers of hours just strictly for raiding, but to have to be on every day for hours beforehand was just way too much. I love WoW forever, but I had to take a break.

I took a long hiatus starting right before wrath of the lich king, but tried again for a month or 2 after cataclysm then again after mists. It's fun for a while but it's just not the same without my old guild etc (there's a couple of them still around which is why I tried at all). I know WHY they implemented cross-realm raids, dungeons, etc, but I think that's what started the lack of enjoyment for me. You do a dungeon these days and everyone absolutely races through it, and you never see those people again. It isn't as easy now to meet people to play with. I just got a 7 day free trial so I'll play again and try this new patch, but I won't stick with it. I have good memories of the "good old days" (lol) but WoW has definitely lost its appeal for me .
Yep. So far I've been good at playing a moderate amount though Have you been to the Timeless Isle, aka the magical land of free epics? I am like a kid in a candy store over there, lol.

Nope, I've only got two 87's so far. I got caught up in working on my profs and cooking for a bit. Lol
