Kindle or iphone games?

I had a game called Broken Sword on my ipad and really enjoyed that (I had played a PC version of one of the games). I also liked Spore and a variety of solitaire type games.  There's a website I like that reviews adventure games called Adventure Gamers (www.adventuregamers.com/) that reviews a bunch ipod and ipad games that might give you some ideas.

I got Plants versus Zombies 2 on my iPhone fully expecting to delete it after playing one round. I have been pleasantly surprised and am actually enjoying it. Mindless fun.

I also still play Tiny Wings on my iPhone pretty regularly. It's an oldie, but worth the $2

I enjoyed the Kindle version of Scribblenaughts.
