Parenting. Am I doing it wrong?

I just SuperNannied my kid. For 35 minutes. He'd scream, get out of bed, run to me, and I would silently pick him up, and put him back.

I didn't know what else to do.

It was a HOT MESS OMG fight - everything from putting on PJ's to getting into bed. I kept walking away, telling him I would come back when he was ready.

UGH. WTF else can you do?

It sucks balls before it gets better. The more you keep it up, the sooner he'll realize his behavior isn't working and that he's wasting his own time/energy.

I'm not a parent yet, but I think you did really well. I hope I have the patience and ability to do the same thing when I find myself in this situation someday.
