What are your favorite cardio and strength training exercises?
I'd love to join a gym, but for now it's not possible. Currently, my work out plan is cardio every other day, and strength training on the off days. I've got a crap load of work out DVDs, so I do 30 mins with one of those in the late morning/afternoon, and 30 mins on my treadmill or bike in the evening, and then I usually crank my music and do some dancing/running on the spot/jumping jacks, whatever I can think of, to finish.
For strength training I'm doing yoga, crunches, lunges, and arm exercises with 5lb weights. I love Turbo jam for when I hit plateaus, because it's fairly high intensity and kicks my butt. My problem is, I get bored way too easily so I'm always looking for new things to try. Oh! I also signed up for myfitnesspal this week, because of all of the good reviews I've seen here. Love it. It makes tracking everything soo much easier.
If anyone could suggest their work out routines/tools, or give advice on how I can improve mine, that would be awesome :Y:
I run outside. I have a hatha yoga video that my yoga teacher made, so I use that sometimes, as her classes don't work with my schedule anymore. I also bike, outside again. We live close to a lake, so it is so nice working out outside.
I do a set of strength training exercises and then a set of jumping jacks or run in place for a set amount of time. I repeat the cycle three times, so four sets total.
Go to sparkpeople.com and unde the healthy lifestyle tab they have a section for videos. They have everything from 8 minute - 20 minute videos. I get really bored of workout videos as well, but they have so many and I can constantly change it up.

That's perfect, thanks!
Sugarbear- not in the budget at the moment, but I'm planning on adding more to it eventually, so I'll definitely keep it mind. Thanks for the suggestion

www.collagevideo.com has a ton of excercise videos plus they have reviews so you know what you're getting yourself into. I love Kathe Frederich's step videos...I know step is totally 90's but I still love it.
