So I'm doing my first try of book-on-CD for my commute to/from work, and I LOVE it. I feel so much less stressed.
But anyway, my point: I grabbed off the shelf an audio book I knew nothing about called "a Private Hotel for Gentle Ladies" by Ellen Cooney.
I think this board would enjoy it thoroughly; it's about a married women at the turn of the century who comes upon her husband kissing another woman, and she takes off. And about the place she takes off to, who she meets, what she learns - tons of questions/issues of feminism (gulp), sexual and societal taboos, etc. I haven't finished it yet, but I find I'm really enjoying the writing (although it is being read to me).
