NICBREEFUL!!!!

nicbreeful or any other EA/SIMS/ORIGINS experts:

I'm struggling here!
So everytime launch sims 3 get a message saying 'There is a problm connecting to the server. Please ensure your internet connection is active. If the problem persists try again later'.

I've checked my fire wall and antiviruses.
My internet connection is fine.
I've checked for any programs that may conflict with Origins.
My origins is up to date.
I've cleaned out all my caches/temporary internet files, etc.

I'm stuck. and annoyed.
Any idea how to fix this?

I added Origins.
I didn't add Sims 3, independently.
Let me see if that works.

And I still get the same message.

Can you try running it as an administrator? Sometimes that works. Also check that you've added both the sims launcher and the sims executable to the safe programs. It might be fine with the launcher and mad at the actual program or vice versa(This is what I can find by googling the problem.)

Thanks gnorah and nicbreeful. I've tried all your suggestions and I still cant connect.
The launcher loads just fine but I keep getting that same message. Now it's alternating between that 'can't connect to server' message and asking me to input my registration codes. But when I do, it doesn't recognize it..
This is infuriating.
