I'm currently reading The Art Of Racing in the Rain and can't put it down.
Don't read 50 shades of Gray. However, I highly recommend 50 Shades of Suck on tumblr. It's hilarious, and gives you a great taste of the awful writing and the story.
That site is really funny! I haven't heard many good things about that book so I probably won't be reading it.

I just finished "Behind the Beautiful Forevers", by Katherine Boo (narrative non-fiction). It's not a light read, but if you are looking for a book that will stick with you forever (and expose you to how some of the the "other half" of the world lives) you'll love it.
I'm currently re-reading Hunger Games as well as the Jenny Lawson memoir (which is funny, but feels like she's trying too hard. Her blog is funnier). I recently read Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, and really enjoyed that.
I'm reading The House of Velvet and Glass right now by Katherine Howe (she also wrote The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane, which is great too) and I'm really enjoying it. Her level of historic detail is really top notch.
I also recently read The Expats by Chris Pavone and The Darlings by Christina Alger, both contemporary thrillers, and highly recommend both.
I keep planning on downloading the new Sohpie Kinsella and Jen Lancaster books. They are my favorites if you like something light and really really funny! Start with Twenties Girl and Bitter is the New Black, respectively.
