Guys, there was a bat in my bedroom last night. +o(
We got up with my son at 3am and the bat dove at my husbands head! We opened a window and *think* he flew out and now we have a call into Batman. Really, his listing is Bat Man!
We used to visit my great grandmother every summer in MN, and in the old farmhouse, bats would get into one of the guest bedrooms through the ductwork. We had at least one bat most summers.
One year, they were really bad, and my sister had one crawl across her face in the middle of the night. Aaahhh, the memories. She has had a severe bat phobia ever since.

Ugh, we had one at our old house and it was dive bombing my head. I never entered that room again, I always made my husband do it. I'm shivering thinking about it

This happened to my mom and her doctor advised her that she should get a series of rabies shots since there was a period of time where she was asleep when the bat was in the room. You might just want to call your doctor to make sure there are not any preventative measures they would suggest.

Yup, I had to do this, too. There was a bat in my apt overnight 5 years ago. It's fucking TERRIFYING, I didn't know what to do. I called literally everyone I knew to ask. Jake was away on business.
The shots actually aren't so bad. The stuff is bright magenta! The only part that sucked was the immunoglobulin part in the beginning -- they're really thick and I had to get them in my butt and it huuuurt.

oh my god.
She (G) woke up because she thought something crawled across her face, and woke up the other sister (E) that was sharing the bed with her all panicked.
E told her "Something did not crawl across your face, you were dreaming, go back to sleep." Later that night, E woke up to a bat swooping around the room, so she just pulled the covers over her head and went back to sleep WITHOUT WARNING G that there actually was a bat in the room.
Who knows how many more times the bat could have crawled across G's exposed face while she slept unawares...
Comes with the territory. Lol. A baby raccoon tried to get into my ILs place last night and we have had a bear go through our cottage several times. Actually surprised I've never posted about that!
Our neighbors told us their 2 yr old had told them about a scary butterfly on his pillow. They thought he was talking nonsense, until they found a bat in the house later and he pointed to it and said 'scary butterfly.' I wanted to seal my house up like crazy after that.
