My mom went to the Dr. For a really bad cold and they found nodules on her lungs. I'm really nervous they are only 1cm and they think it could be scar tissue. Anyone have experience with this? She goes in 2 weeks for ct scan.

OMG, I just posted something very much like this a few days ago. First, I know it's so scary. I left work early on Monday because I was an emotional basket case.
In my mom's case, we found out yesterday that it was just scarring. (They didn't even wind up doing a CT scan since this has happened before and the "nodules" in her lungs appeared much in the same manner this time as they did the first time.) Do you know if they mention the word "calcified" in the report? That's usually a good sign.
I hope that it turns out to be the same for your mom. ((hugs))

Oh good, I am glad your moms turned out well, I didn't see your post. I am not sure if they said anything about being calcified. She has had bad coughs for the past couple of years following a really bad one that she had, so I am hoping it is just scarring. I am such a worry wart anyways and this makes it even worse. I really wish they could get her in sooner, I don't want to wait and worry for 2 weeks. I think she is nervous, but trying to be positive.
