We had a really great weekend. Yesterday we met some friends and had a great picnic in the park. Today DS game me the best present ever (sleeping till 8am!). Then we went to brunch and amazing miracles of miracles he sat in his high chair for the entire meal without fussing! Then we went to DH's cousins house and DS and DH made me finger paint pictures in the backyard. They also got me a spa gift card. It was a really nice weekend.

My very picky 5 year old tried several new foods at brunch. When I asked him why he decided to do that, he said he wanted me to have a special mother's day. So cute!
We spent the weekend at a nearby resort with five other families. It was really fun--two days of hanging out by the pool, floating on the lazy river, making s'mores, eating good food, etc. We had a yummy brunch this morning, my DH watched the kids while I got a 60 minute massage at the spa this afternoon, and my kids' were so worn out from the fun that they went to bed at a reasonable hour for once, so I am a happy camper. Dinner at a restaurant with 12 adults and 13 kids was a little crazy, though...
Dd got me a night out with some of my new mom friends and I'm thrilled. She also woke up 3 hrs before the ass crack of dawn, but I'm ignoring that part.

We went to a State Park for a picnic, walk in the lake, and a hike. It was great. My little one (one year old) loved being outside, but she is running a fever so she was a little irritable.
My husband finished up some key projects around the house that I'm so happy to have completed. We went to church, then out to brunch. I took a long nap and then spent time outside with DS and H. It was a wonderful weekend. H also brought me flowers, put together a photo frame with DS's pics and made all the meals today. I'm a lucky girl!
I got breakfast in bed even though we agreed not to celebrate this year. I had a rough day yesterday so I think he was trying to boost my mood, it worked
I woke up to chocolate covered strawberries, but somehow ended up cleaning that pan. H went out of town and it wasn't the best day - it involved vomit. But now I have wine.
Yesterday, we went to all sorts of places that DH would usually complain about - a fancy vinegar and olive oil store, a cheese store, a bakery, a garden center, and home depot.
Today, I got to sleep in. Then, we all went to a farmer's market. DH gave me $$$ to go get a mani/pedi at the mall. While I was there, I got a massage. We went out for dinner, and stopped for ice cream.

Yup, it was a great day! I got a bit of a break this morning....I took a shower AND shaved my legs ..lol and also got THE BEST lemon sno cone...life is good!
I had a good day. My daughter and I went camping with my parents and little sisters last night since H had to work. Had a good breakfast and came home and napped. H got me a bottle of wine and made London Broils for supper. It was great spending so much time outside!
Yes! DH took DD when she woke up early, and let me sleep in. He/they got all the presents I asked for, and we ordered in a nice dinner. DH even got a nap in while DD slept in the afternoon. Score all around.
I had a great mother's day but it was kind of a makeup day since last year he fell short of my expectations. We went out for Fondue on Saturday night while his sister babysat. On Sunday I slept in and he made me breakfast. He got me a coach wristlet and flowers. We spent the day celebrating with his family but my mil goes out of her way to include me in the celebration. After we got home my DH went out and got me icecream. I am a little afraid to get on the scale at the OB's office on Wednesday but it was worth it.
DH put together a little gift basket for surviving my last weeks of pregnancy. I thought it was pretty sweet. I worked most of the day and we went out with my mom for dinner.

We went out for brunch and everyone was relatively well behaved. Then we went to the Imagination Movers concert. I bought the tickets back in November and didn't realize the date was Mother's Day. But, the show was really good the boys had a great time so that was nice.
We ended the day by "visiting" my MIL at the cemetery. The boys hung a wind chime in the tree near her headstone.

we had a great day. brunch with MIL and FIL, then a relaxing afternoon. I tried to nap - but settled for a tickle and snuggle fest with DS instead.... DS made me a book about why he likes me as well as a few other things. DH got me some hanging flowers. We bought a new patio table on Sat that was delivered on Sunday - so we called that my gift. DH made dinner too!
