We bought a cheapie carpet shampooer and file it with diluted got pee (pet cleaner). I've shampooed three times in the last two months and it looks and smells excellent now.

You'll still have the cat fur problem, trust me. Question - have you ever had your long hair cat shaved down for summer? I'm seriously contemplating it. Mine is pretty feisty, so she'd need to be anesthetized. That part frightens me.

Tumbleweeds indeed! I like that. The amount of cat fur around here frustrates me. I've thought about buying clippers and shaving him myself. Or perhaps just learn to accept the fur.

I had to read this three times before I realized that you were not filling your carpet machine with "diluted goat pee."

LOL. I tried to make it clearer but was in a hurry. Its an enzymatic cleaner, way better than Nature's Miracle, but you can only order online.
