I just commented in the other post, but I love this method. I totally worked for DD1. We went through 12 pairs of underwear the first day. I had no idea that they just go tiny bits here and there all day long. The second day we used 3 pairs, and we have had virtually no accidents in the past 2+ years. The night was the scariest part for me. We didn't use pull ups or anything as a back up. She had 1 accident. A friend gave me a great suggestion. Make the bed twice. Mattress cover, sheet, mattress cover, sheet. So if she has an accident in the middle of the night, yuo are not having to remake the whole bed. Genius!
I did it the week my DD turned two and she took to it really well. She was in diapers on a Fri and totally PT'd on Monday for daycare. The theory behind no pull ups as night, it kind of like just ripping off a bandaid. If you are going to PT, just do it all the way!
DD loves peeing in the potty... but doesnt tell me when she has to go. and she pees all day long apparently. She peed twice this morning.... then wet her pull ups (they're cloth and didnt absorb much) only 30 min later.
My parents are watching her today and said she pooped right after she said she didnt have to go.
I am honestly scared to do the three day method but maybe we will just jump on it tomorrow and do it for 2 days. We have no real plans this weekend so it will be a good time.

We tried it at 2 and 2.5, but it didn't work. We tried again right around 3 and it worked, but it was more like the 6 day and house covered in pee method.

How old is Lucy? My DD is 2 1/2 and she seems super interested somedays but not sure if its enough to initiate potty training.
and at nightime....are you not supposed to give pull ups? What's the good and the bad with that?
Almost 2.5. She definitely seems ready--she can communicate that she needs to pee/poop and is very into the "girl underwear."
If you're ready to be done with diapers, I'd give it a shot. The lady who wrote the three day method said pretty much any kid over 22 months can be potty trained.
See that's why I think she's ready. She lets us know when she's pooping and will squat when she pees. Maybe I need to rip off this bandaid.

We didn't do the official 3 day method with dd, but similar. One day she wanted to wear a pull up (instead of a diaper) and we said she had to pee in the potty. She went straight to wearing underwear all day and pull ups at night, and after a week or 2, she was dry at night.
Now, I don't kid myself that I had anything to do with it. Ds is almost 5 and still has accidents and wets at night!
We did the 3 day method except I wimped out and we use pullups at nap and night. Half the time the nap one is dry but the night one is always very full. With a 6mo too I'm not that concerned about overnight PT!

This is what I should have done! Instead, I decided to do a stupid, half-assed 'she'll get used to the idea of underwear slowly' method. Several months later and we're still in diaper/underwear limbo. Argh. Maybe this week (I'm done with work for the summer), I'll follow your lead and do the 3 day training.
