I think 2$ per pint (those tiny cartons) is good...would expect up to 3$ a pint...not sure how that works out in weight though...I think a pint of blueberries would weigh less then a lb so I'm going to say yet...go for it...
I paid $8 for 12 oz. of organic blueberries at my farmer's market last weekend It depends on the taste whether $2 is good. You couldn't pay me to eat blueberries from the supermarket, since they are usually either tasteless or extremely sour. If they taste like supermarket berries, I'd say they are way overpriced. If they taste like blueberries are supposed to taste, then it's a great price (aside from the organic piece).
posts like this make me so happy that my father is a farmer at heart. He has a big crop of blueberries that I can just go pick when ever they are ripe!! He has them all summer long and I usually pick a quart or two a week . cost is nothing!!! He also has raspberries & strawberries along with just about any veggie I could want! I dont know why he feels he has to plant enough to supply the family plus all his neighbors, but I am glad he likes to do it! Fresh FREE fruits & veggies are great!
