Need help!!!! I sign up for the disney marathon and thinking for just driving up there. But wanted to know what is the great hotel to stay at. Im a simple women I dnt need a resort or anything Im trying to stay within budget of no more 250 after 5 days. If someone can please assist me Ill be glady appreciate it Thank you!!!
I suggest posting your question on the H&F board, a lot of those ladies have done the WDM. I'd probably just try priceline/hotwire and see what you can come up with, my guess is you are going to have to travel a bit to get close to $50 a night.
Having done the race, if there's any way you can stay on property, I'd highly suggest it. The reason I say this is because you have to be at the starting line at around 3 or 4 a.m. Being able to just jump on the monorail or a bus would be a lot easier than having to drive in from off site. What about just doing one of the value properties for the night before and then moving off property? I think it'd be worth it to be there since it's so damn early.

We haven't done the marathon but can tell you based on driving there to watch a race and hearing from the many, many friends of ours that have done Disney races, staying on property will be completely worth it! Traffic can be a bitch, but add on to that closed roads for the race, and you will save yourself a LOT of stress trying to drive and park.
