ANyway - Some of you may remember I found a very decent glider/ottoman on craigslist - a nice dutailier one w/ microfiber cover, much like the glider and ottoman we had and the guy wanted $125 for it, so I was jumping on it so we could have one upstairs and downstairs but not have to shell out money. The glider was my perma-spot for pumping and we still use it TONS with kiddo 1 for night time and nap.
So. Guy wrote me that it was sold.
I was SO bummed b/c 1. it was cheap price for good glider, and 2. I wanted to just buy it, be done, and not keep checking for a good cheap one on CL.
I emailed the guy and basically said, "Really, it's sold, what a bummer. I was so excited, I thought I was the first to reach you!"
He wrote back a few hours later and said he was embarrassed b/c he realized there were stains on there and he thought about pitching it and then his wife took the covers off to wash and one of the zippers ripped apart in the wash (back of the bottom cushion)
So, then he said if I still wanted it, it was mine for $50!
YAY! $75 cheaper and I picked it up yesterday and it was is in very very decent condition. It's probably a model down from our current one so I'll prob put this one up in C's bedroom and bring our slightly better one down to the living room.
This is so funny because I have a BARELY used $400 glider that I want to put on Craigslist but it has a period stain on it, lol. It's just sitting in my garage because I don't know WTF to do with it. I guess I could start by trying to get the stain out.
Someone will be glad to pick it up for the right price.
This one does still have a little yellow spot on the back cushion, but dude, I just wanted to get another one and it was just a big extra that I didn't TOTALLY need, so i'm not too concerned. It may still come out. (She didn't wash the back one b/c she was nervous about getting the stuffing right.)
ANd for sure, Pagas! his response made me kind of wonder if I was going to get all the way out there and find it was really crappy, but was worth a shot for 50! VERY pleased and I spent less than 50% of what I thought I would!

I got some post partum bleeding blood on mine (when dd was only like, 2 weeks old ) and I tried everything to get it out. This past weekend, I rented a Rug Doctor and used the upholstery attachment on it and the damn thing looks brand new. I seriously should have done this 2.5 years ago instead of just strategically draping blankets and burp cloths over the stain.

snorky How did the Rug Doctor work? Does it have a hose you can use on upholstery? The fabric on our dining room chairs desperately needs to be cleaned.
