turn on white noise see if you hear anything trying to communicate
I have thought about doing that. I'm worried about if I were to 'get' anything though. I doubt I'd be able to work here by myself at night anymore. (It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.)

Both. Lots of noises, even when I'm not there alone. My boss doesn't believe in ghosts, but there have been noises that even he can't explain. LOL
Earlier this summer, when it was unholy hot, there was a random cold spot by my desk. We couldn't figure it out because the HVAC vent in our area was closed, and the rest of the building was stifling hot.
Something pulled my hair at my desk one night. My boss sits behind me, and swears he didn't do it.
We have an old basketball court in one end of the building (right where I sit). Its not level, but isn't sloped enough to cause a ball to roll willy-nilly on its own. One night, one of the basketballs rolled across the floor over there. It had been pushed up against the wall, under some old stadium seats bolted down around the perimeter. (Think 1940's wooden gymnasium seats).
Nothing too frightening, but its enough to make me believe something/someone is there.

That is eerie. Interesting, but certainly eerie. I am glad you don't feel threatened or anything though. That would be awful.
