DH is turning 30 next week. I decided we should have a huge cookout/bash since this would also be the first time we've had people over to our place here and are finally unpacked in every room.
About 34 people are confirmed so far to be coming and I had this bright idea to make everything from scratch (I have no idea what I was high on).
Today alone, I've made 6 baguettes (in process), 30 hamburger buns, 1 batch of apple chips (for the fruit salsa) and have started the sugarpaste decorations for his cake.
No real point, except I'm tired. I have to get up early to finish the baguettes and then we're driving an hour to the base for cheaper groceries. Also it's expected to rain for the next 10 days...not just the usual misting, but downpouring. Ugh.

Simma down.
I do this all the time. Have these grand plans to do everything by scratch so it will impress everyone and then just end up stressed and miserable and a total bitch to anyone who gets in my way.
Like sue said, call a deli. 34 people is a lot of cooking.
