One of my tri club friends is training for MCM, and is trying to BQ this year. This weekend she has a 20 miler at 9 m/m pace. A lot of our distance running friends are training for a different marathon a month later, and have their own long runs (at their own paces) to do this weekend. So a friend who doesn't have a marathon planned is taking miles 5-15 and I am taking 15-20, and we're going to keep her company. We only need one more 5 miler to do her whole long run relay style
I just hope I am able to keep up my end of the deal! 9:00 m/m is my HM pace, so I'm moving my pace run this week and it should be just about right. It's still aggressive for me though. I hope I don't have a bad run that day! It'd be worse than having a bad run for my own long run. Peer pressure! lol.
