I thought the episode was pretty boring. I think my expectations/anticipation was too high. Am I the only one who was disappointed??
DH and I both thought it was an 'eh' episode especially for a premiere. The whole 'name the baby' fiasco was ridiculous -- you can't leave the hospital without a name! (at least my hospital) AND why is Crosby awake while she feeds the baby-- that is ridiculous! There is a way to take turns even if mom nurses! I did not like how Sarah is a super at that apartment complex, I hope they don't make a thing of her and that creepster guy. And please don't make any sort of affair with Joel and Pete!!!

Do you think they'll ever bring Hattie back from college? I don't think she was included in the opening credits this season, and there was no mention of her in these first two episodes. I find it so weird when shows just have a cast member disappear never to be spoken of again.

I read that there are no plans to bring her back anytime soon
I think it's crazy that Kristina is running for Mayor with NO political background
I just came looking for a thread to see if this was mentioned.
All I got was that she feels empowered from beating cancer and that she cares about education. But her relevant experience seems exactly zero. She's going to cry every time there is a strike or a water line busts. Nope.
Start smaller...school board? City council? Alderman? Who goes straight to mayor?

My small state college in Maine had co-ed bathrooms in 1995. The floor was mostly women, but there were three guys who lived on the floor. One of them only showered in the middle of the night.

Well, there is some relevant experience... campaign speech writer and campaign manager. But yeah. I still agree with you!
Anyone watch tonight's episode yet? Zeke with Victor at the end was really sweet. I don't always care for Zeke, but he sure does love his family. My heart was warmed!
I love the show, but I must admit that lately I've been rolling my eyes a lot. It seems that when there's a problem, even a significant one, said problem is solved magically by itself. With Victor, for example, he was having a lot of trouble with the adoption, then bam, he's instantly happy and adjusted to the family. He had trouble to read, now after reading a few sentences with his grandpa everything will be ok.

I get what you're saying, but it's still a tv show, dedicating an entire season to one character's reading troubles would become awfully boring. There's a need to keep plot lines moving - even if it makes it unrealistic in comparison to a real world setting.

Yes, I agree with you in that the plot lines need to be moving. You're right that with the reading storyline, they need to move on. However, with the adoption storyline, I still think they could have given it a more realistic approach. I don't know, what I liked about the show were the realistic dialogues, the sensitive challenges the characters faced, their raw emotions, etc. and I don't think that the writers have kept up with the quality of the show.

But you know she is going to win because that's tv you know?
