I'd go anywhere I wanted if it is just 1 baby. 1 kid was an accessory with 3 kids it is a lifestyle and we really have to think about where we are going now and be more kid centric
Um, anywhere? We seriously will travel anywhere that is safe with our kids. I wouldn't take them to Iraq but really almost anywhere else? Fair game. Especially at 8 months. Where do you guys want to go? Babies are transportable, just think of her like an extra piece of luggage

India, The Inca Trail, Tikal, Easter Island. But are these really places you'd take a baby?
I never travel with luggage. I backpack and I backpack on the bare minimum - 3 weeks in SEA? 9 pound backpack. I'm used to that so planning a trip where you'd actually have luggage (and a baby) is a completely foreign concept to me. It's a different way of thinking and I don't know where to start.
And yeah, anywhere, but preferably not too cold. Maldives? Argentina? Montenegro?
Having been to Easter Island and Peru, I would definitely do those two - I guess is it that you want to see Machu Picchu or you want to hike the Inca Trail? You could easily do MP, but hiking would be more difficult. Easter Island would be fine, it is just a very long plane ride. Tikal I would also do. India I would only be hesitant because I don't know what, if any, vaccines you would need. Actually that would be the part that you should check for any place.
Argentina would be totally doable with a baby, and it is Summer there, so the weather is great. We went for Christmas and it was amazing. We are planning Montenegro with our kids next summer, looks kid friendly. Maldives would be fine too.
You will definitely be traveling with more stuff, no doubt. But chances are almost anywhere you go will have a crib, so you need to bring the basics - clothes, diapers, food/bottles/whatever she is eating. We saw lots of families traveling around SEA with babies, again my only hesitation would be vaccines/immunizations.
I think India would be fine also. At that age I think it would still be able to feed LO without worry in India - picture scooping a banana or avocado from its peel with a spoon - or breads - no big deal.
You don't need to carry a ton of stuff just because of a baby. We still do carry-on only even for weeks long trips with DD. We just wash her clothes in the sink along with ours. With cloth diapers, you may be able to pack even lighter - not sure, I didn't CD.
When DD was under 1 we took her on a road trip through Spain and Portugal. We also took her to Morocco, which was amazingly baby friendly. When she was very little to Australia - you could easily road trip there for sure and that is definitely good use of those BC tickets.
I second frlcb's vote for Argentina. Buenos Aires, specifically, would be easy with a baby. People are super child-friendly and no one will give you the side-eye for bringing your baby to a restaurant at 10pm. You can walk around, see a lot, you have nice parks to hang out in, and it's just generally a fun, beautiful city. Plus, it's easy and affordable to pick up almost anything you need, so you don't need to worry about whether you packed enough diapers or whatever.
