FI planned an adults-only getaway for the two of us this coming weekend, to help make October a little bit happier (my due date would've been later this month). We're staying at a B&B in the Canton area of the Inner Harbor.
The aquarium is already on our to-do list (I've been there before, he hasn't), and we're getting a couples massage on Saturday afternoon, and have a restaurant picked out for dinner that evening, but we're looking for other things to see/do.
Walk around federal hill (park), Walters art museum, window shop in Hampden (about 7 miles north of inner harbor...still city) and beer/wine taste at WineSource or head over to Union Brewery for some good beer); walk around shops in Fells point (great gelato at pitango). Walk around inner harbor/Little Italy/Harbor East) as well...lots to window shop, water to enjoy, etc.
What weekend will you be there? There are festivals so there might be one when you are there - ex Fells Point festival is the first weekend in October. The Baltimore running festival is October 12th.
of love and regret is over on brewer's hill and has my favorite brunch ever. the food is phenomenal and the beer is super awesome too (stillwater). their website is sucky though so don't judge it based on that. their fbook is updated pretty regularly. we stop by every time we're in baltimore.
also if you're going to be in fells point definitely stop at max's. giant beer selection (almost 200 on tap i think) and good bar food - our favorite is the tator tot bowl topped with pulled pork and cheese and other deliciousness.

We arrive this Friday (the 4th) and leave on Sunday.
If you like dueling piano bars, go to howl at the moon at power plant live. Its a relatively short walk from the harbor. Pier 5 is a good place to go walk around during the day. And of you want something else during the day check out the water tours of the harbor.
The Fells Point Festival will make driving from Canton to any of the other areas mentioned here more difficult. Definitely plan to go up and around that neighborhood to avoid road closures and major traffic backups. The good news is that you can probably walk to the festival from Canton if you want to check it out. I particularly like the northern part that this year they're calling "La Plaza International." The neighborhood has a large number of Latino immigrants and the food is awesome.
Fork and Wrench is a great restaurant in Canton. We really like their brunch. Mahaffey's Pub is also in Canton and has an amazing beer selection but their food is nothing spectacular.
Brewer's Art in Mt. Vernon has great house made beer and amazing food. They only open for dinner though so not sure if that would work into your schedule.
The Poe House reopens this weekend, if that's your kind of thing.
