I told my H he should ask for blocked off time with his dad so that they can do small tasks left on our home to do list - install two fans in the bedrooms, put in the baseboard vents, install new quarterround for the whole house and swap out the old off white switches and outlets for white ones.
I'm probably asking for gift cards since I'll need new clothes, but I'm not 100% set on that.
Man, I have a list a mile long: New sheets for the bed New pillows for the couch Curtains for the bedroom A new perfume A peridot right hand ring GC's for new clothes and shoes New knives A dutch oven Amazon gift card for books/music Starbucks GC/Coffee Ulta GC Macy's GC to buy makeup (MAC)
I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can come up with right now
I desperately need new swimsuits, but I've been putting it off in case I get KU. (So far no luck with that) As far as other gifts go ... I have no idea. I'll probably ask mom/dad for some sort of sewing table or perhaps a cutting table (you know, for all my sewing projects - haha) I think R will probably get me some DVDs and I'm hoping for a GC to my favorite spa.
I want a housecleaner like for six weeks when the baby gets here and my sister is getting married. We usually get a nice chunk of change from my inlaws so I might do that with it.
Amazon cards for random stuff.
A baby monitor An overpriced but awesome double stroller
Someone to come in and deep clean my house. I ask every year and never get it.
Aww...that's a bummer? Is there a reason as to why not? I told my H that's what I wanted for awhile after the baby gets here as a Christmas gift and he said, "Call the girl."
He likes simple thoughtless gifts I can take care of myself though...lol.
I want one of those Bosch oscillating multitools And I want two white Moser glass cake platters - I already ordered those, so I'll just have H go pick them up lol.

I think he thinks I am joking. I also think he thinks it's a lame gift. I asked if we could get someone in before ds birthday since several parents I don't know we're coming and he offered in a nice way to just do it himself. I think he's missing the point.
new, nice sheets for the bed kreg jig beverage dispenser like this for parties these rings with all 4 dds names speaker dock for my iphone since mine broke lo and sons omg bag mirror

LOL. Husbands. Mine is like this too, so I hear you. I think 8 years later though I finally have him "trained" to realize that what he thinks is lame is actually great for me. He laughs so hard because I get all excited over the weirdest stuff. And mine has no time to clean, at all, ever, so he'd never make that suggestion.
I want one of these too! Do you know which you are getting? (Corded? Volts? Which tools?)
I'm not sure yet - I was thinking the new 18V cordless one, but I'm not sure - it's spendy and I gather that you need to buy the battery pack /charger separately. In terms of tools, definitely some cutting (plunge and circular ), a scraping tool (we've got some linoleum to scrape in the near future) and some of the sanding heads. I don't know that I'd use grinding tools so much.
My husband wants a kegging system for christmas so I figure I better ask for something good in return. I might just go big and do the 18V cordless.
Well, I always want new clothes, but this year I need new UGG boots. Mine are five years old and no longer waterproof; they're just too thin. It's time for new ones. I also want The Great Gatsby and the new Star Trek movie on Blu-Ray.

I want a Mason Pearson hair brush. But, the cost of the brush is so silly and frivolous (and probably why I want it so much) that I can only justify getting it as a gift.
Other than that, Christmas will be light this year. We're closing on a house at the end of November that needs major repairs. So all our extra funds will be tied up in this house for a while.
