42 days left! I'm pretty much ready. I just read that the baby is about to start gaining a half pound a week from now on. Ouch. I'm already planet sized and my back is achy. But I'm enjoying these last few days with him in the inside also because I know it's about to get cray cray. Yesterday Amelia was sick and very cuddly and I don't know how that would have gone down with me nursing my boy too.
My Dr says I'm up 14 lbs and I swear it's only 8. She said I started at 144 and I thought it was 150. Either way, I guess that's pretty good. I'm eating whatever I want and I weaned Amelia at 20 weeks so I thought I'd gain more because of that.
Not a lot to report here! I love my babies! I don't love the new sitter. I like my job but working FT nights is kicking my butt. I would lose $10,000/year and lots more time with my kids if I went to day shift.
Things here are going pretty well. So glad we're past the first 6 weeks, now looking forward to hitting 12. I now I need to enjoy and appreciate him now when he's tiny and adorable, but I think the newborn phase stinks and I'm ready for more routine in my days. The last couple of days Hudson has really been fighting sleep during the day, which isn't fun. I'm sure he'll be past it soon, but for right now, its no fun.
Quinn had 2 baby teeth pulled today, the first 2 teeth he's lost. He did great, a little squirmy and nervous at the beginning, but overall ok. I'm a bit sad his first lost tooth was at the dentist hand, plus his adult teeth are almost all the way in, so he doesn't have a cute gap. Oh well, hopefully with the next teeth.
It seems like Ethan turned 1 and has now decided he is going to be difficult. He used to go to sleep so easily for naps and bedtime, but we had a week of screaming which was god awful. One night it went on for an hour and at some point during it he must have spit up/thrown up and it was all over his bed and smelled horrible. UGH. We also now have a tantrum during diaper changes. What happened to my sweet little boy who was so good with everything?
Neverless I still love the kid to death! I am planning to look for a job and hopefully go back to work in January. So that means I also have to start looking at daycares so that we can find somewhere for Ethan to go when I return to work. Although I'm sad that I will be a working mom, in the long run I think that I will be happier back at work. I think that makes me sound like a bad mom, but I had worked full time since college and it was quite a change to become stay at home. Guess we will see how things pan out. My husband has a job that requires travel, so I am going to be selective about what kind of job I take and how far the commute is as I will be the primary caregiver for him since hubby isn't always in town.

I don't think that makes you sound like a bad mom. A friend of mine posted an article that women who SAH are more fulfilled. She said that they make healthy meals for everyone, (as opposed to working moms who clearly only make processed crap foods??), are happier, can maintain a clean home, and then have time to put out for their husbands.
I countered that because we literally stay at home, our house is always a mess, I made healthy meals when I worked, I never get a break (and am therefore more stressed), and am so touched out at the end of the day, the last thing I want is for anyone to touch me including my husband. Working moms can be just as fulfilled, and their children just as loved, and that is what makes a good mom.

Hi Ladies! I haven't been on here in FOREVER! Cooper is amazing! He's 8 months old already and just makes me smile and laugh every day. He has 3 teeth and a head full of hair. He started crawling a few days ago and is trying to pull up on things now. He's in to everything! Its so much fun to watch him explore, although it's not fun having to chase him everywhere, but I wouldnt change this experience for the world. He still loves daycare and all the kids, thank goodness! Other than that, everything has amazing these last 8 months. I'm so excited for all you expecting ones! Lauren, I believe you've been trying for a while and now twins?! Congratulations! So happy for all of you!
