Someone just tried to school me on Facebook about how this is really the Democrats' fault because they won't compromise. And she's happy to "see [the Republicans] fight for what the party wants."
I schooled her on how bills become laws and she deleted her 3 comments, and now it looks like I've been talking to myself on my wall.
Not all DoD civilians are exempt from furlough, only certain ones who are considered "essential", which a lot of them aren't.
No idea how this is going to effect me and my husband. I'm assuming I'll get paid either on time, or eventually (active duty military), but he's a substitute teacher with DoD schools. I'm pretty sure regular DoD teachers are considered "essential", but not sure about subs like H. I mean, he's already committed to teaching a few days this week and next week, and will almost certainly get called to teach a few more days. Just hoping he will eventually get paid for those days, but nobody has really told him...
My mom is a DoD teacher and is cut back to 4 day weeks. This whole thing baffles me.
