So we buy health insurance ourselves for H and Hart as H's employer doesn't offer it and the cost of adding them to my employer's group plan is astronomical.
It's a decent plan with BCBS and very reasonably priced but now I'm stressing.
BCBS is bumping up our rate by 130% starting in January.
Anyone else dealing with this? Are you guys looking at the healthcare exchange or working with your existing providing to tweak your plan?
From what I saw, the healthcare exchange is still going to be a big jump in cost for us, though not nearly what BCBS is doing.
Holy crap! DH's work offers shitty insurance, and contribute nothing towards the premium for dependents. Anyone with dependents buys a plan separately through BCBS. I don't know if any of them logged into the exchange today, but based on the numbers released last week the increases were minimal - smaller increases than they'd had in prior years.
