My moms is 1lb ground beef 1/2 lb breakfast sausage (bob evans tube) 2 slice bread broke up 1 egg onion about 1/2 a diced green pepper salt pepper 1 16 oz can of tomato sauce
mix everything together leave out 1/4 of the can of tomato sauce bake for 1 hr. Last half hour pour rest on top bake rest of the way. I make it in a 9x11 and suck the grease out of the pan a few times. My Mom always used the dried onions so just your best guess for how much fresh.
I used to make the one from America's Test Kitchen all the time, and it's pretty delicious...but I found this other one on All Recipes and it's really quite yummy, so I pretty much only make this one anymore:
You will laugh but i use ground beef an egg and a meatloaf seasoning mix from mccormick and its great. No breadcrumbs no ketchup just basic meatloaf and it's good i swear lol
