So, last year, I entered a local Christmas gingerbread house competition and won honorable mention. I posted pics on my food blog.
Fast forward to about a month ago, I got an email from the food editor of iVillage.com, asking if I'd be interested in working with them in a project. She called me on the phone and said they found my gingerbread house pics, and would I be interested in building 3 Halloween-themed gingerbread houses to be featured on their site? (Along with houses by other bloggers)

The haunted doghouse was supposed to be Snoopy's doghouse and the pumpkin patch from "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" but they said it was to much fondant, that their target audience would be too intimidated to work with fondant.
I still have a pic of it. I was proud of my fondant Snoopy.

you should post it over here - it looked fantastic!!
Fun! I have all my candy and trimmings to do a Halloween house from the gingerbread village I bought last year and never did. I love doing gingerbread houses, but I've never thought to put fondant on them.

It's so easy. Just "glue" it to the cookie with light corn syrup.

I've decorated plenty of houses, I just haven't done a Halloween one yet, and I forgot about my village last year. I'll have to try corn syrup though; usually I just do frosting. Here are a few of mine.
