I was 3 cm and 80% effaced 3 weeks ago, but still staying at that. Which is nice, b/c w/ baby C, I was 5 cm/90%/kid's head engaged from week 35-41, which was uncomfortable to say the least. This is too, but not nearly as much pressure there.
Kid is laying on my spine, for sure. Lol, the Dr asked if I was having a lot of back pain (which I have been), and he laughed and explained that the kid is camped out on my nerves. I think he's been that way the whole time.
Weekly amniotic fluid checks right now. I ran out w/ C, which is why they did the 41 week induction. So far, so good on fluid.
BP still ok (i had pre-eclampsia at the end w/ c, and insanely high bp at delivery - like where I couldn't look at the monitors b/c it was like 220/180 which is INSANITY since I'm 80/60 not pg, and 110-120/80 pg for the most part).
Estimated baby size - 7lbs 12 oz.
Which is an ok size for a baby and didn't stun me or anything. But then I started thinking about how painful the 6lb 12 oz kid's birth was.... And this one has 2 more weeks to grow. I was expecting an 8 or 9lb baby w/ first one b/c that's what most of our families have, but now was kind of expecting a smaller kid round 2.
So, that's about it. Nothing super exciting. I got Rx heartburn meds! First night in forever I haven't woken w/ heartburn. Still had to pee a million times and woke up all the time, but not with searing pain! woo hooo!
ETA: Lol, cville I wasn't trying to steal your 3 cm thunder. Too funny though that we're always twins this pg stuff this time. I went to 3cm at same week as you as well.
ETA 2 My cough is nearly gone, so I'm feeling a lot better on that note. And puking a little less. I had a puke-less day yesterday! My bad knee went out this past week, so that's in constant pain and I miss anti-inflammatories. I've been icing the heck out of it.
And
TMI.
I asked dr to check my hemorrhoid issue and asked it'd be bad at labor. He said, "Ummm, yeah, they're not great, and will probably be pretty painful" but he did give me a prescription cream so let's hope that sucker kicks in and works well. I'd like the issue gone BEFORE labor pretty please. I had a lot of healing issues last time, so it'd be nice to start w/o added issues.
Everything sounds good, glad you got the heartburn prescription! Remember they can be totally off on those baby size projections, so don't assume it's going to be gigantor.
Yay! And try not to think about the kid's size too much. Lol. Theo was 9 lbs and shot out no problem. Wasn't that bad.
I hope so. C was stuck for quite some time.
I was going to kill the next person who said she'd be out in one more push.
They did add pitocin at the end to lengthen contractions so I could push.
She was born in about 2 hours but over half of that was push time. Which is still pretty damn quick, but w/ all the undercarriage damage, I have to believe it was a wee bit too quick for my body. I could have used another hour or 2.
I'm kind of counting on having like ZERO time to deliver this one.
Bigger babies are supposed to be easier to deliver, gravity and more weight equals a faster exit. Or something. So here's hoping younger your one push delivery
This baby was my biggest but easiest delivery and recovery. I guess my vag is all stretched out now. lol. I hope it's the same for you, minus the stretched out vag part, of course. ;)
