Suggestions for weekend trip by myself

Long weekend in January, all by myself.  I would like some things to do, I don't like to just sit for too long.

Where should I go?

I will be in town because I will be too big to be out of town. LOL.

I like urban weekends. Shopping, dining, sleeping in, great hotel, etc.

ETA - in January, I would go skiing in a cool resort town. 

I'm spending a lot of time thinking about this.  It's obviously been years since I have done such a thing. :N:

This is seriously tempting.  I have never been to LA and my H has zero desire to ever go back (lol).  

I'm not worried about flights, I have miles to use

Vegas is actually pretty cold in January!  And I don't think I'd like it by myself.  I'd get really drunk and end up on COPS or something.  I need a babysitter there.
